WRITER - Niya Hill
Niya began her career in Corporate Communications and Bi-lingual Event Management before finally pursuing her passion and retraining as an Actor. Upon completion of her drama training, she went on to further extensive training in the Meisner technique.
She resides in London with a second base in the North and has worked extensively in theatre, films and commercials. She has recently formed her own production company producing and acting in short films. 'Grimsby Girl' is her first short film as a writer.
Theatre credits include: Bush, Hampstead, Cockpit & Theatre Royal Stratford East.
DIRECTOR - Anna Keel
Anna Keel is a BBC and Raindance Film School trained director known for a number of acclaimed documentaries before a later branch sideways into the world of drama. Her first short fiction film Seven Stones received special selection at a number of international festivals and her second, Lost Girl, earned her a best director nomination at The Southampton International Film Festival. Her first feature film, a British road movie thriller, is now in the pipeline. In between dreaming up drama Anna continues to make hard hitting, globally successful docs for The BBC, Channel 4, ITV and more.
PRODUCER - Karen Newman
Karen moved into producing following a highly successful career in Global Events Management where she was responsible for large high profile events and their corresponding budgets. Her former training as an actor combined with her exceptional organisational skills and financial acumen makes her an outstanding Creative Producer. Since moving into producing Karen has made a number of short films which include "FinDom" and Misanthropic Dave vs. the Pleasure Virus for Dealers Inn Productions, "Nothing to Wear" for Another View Productions and a number of corporate short films for globally recognised companies. She joined Seahorse Films in 2014 to produce "Squidge" and is now a Co Owner of the Company and the sole producer. Karen has just completed her first Feature Film, Just Charlie, with Seahorse Films and currently has several other projects in various stages of development. Just Charlie will be released in 2017 and has been acquired by international Sales Agent, Media Luna.
